WirtschaftsWoche has named ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN as a top law firm in insurance law in 2021. Prof. Dr. Dieter Schwampe, partner of the law firm in Hamburg, was also named top lawyer in insurance law.

The commercial law firm ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN is one of the best law firms in Germany in the field of insurance law. This was determined by WirtschaftsWoche in cooperation with the Handelsblatt Research Institute. With Prof. Dr. Dieter Schwampe, WirtschaftsWoche also named a proven insurance law specialist as a top lawyer.

The Handelsblatt Research Institute surveyed more than 1330 lawyers from 193 law firms. The selected lawyers were asked to name the most renowned colleagues. A jury of experts then evaluated the lawyers who had been nominated. The result is a list of 16 leading law firms and 21 highly recommended lawyers for insurance law.

Prof. Dr. Dieter Schwampe advises clients in all areas of insurance law, in particular maritime insurance law and transport law. In insurance law, he deals both with issues of contract drafting, in particular of general insurance conditions, and with coverage issues. In marine insurance law, he specialises in cargo insurance and marine insurance, where he primarily handles major claims. He is regularly appointed as an arbitrator and has more than 100 lectures and presentations at national and international events. He is Chairman of the German Association for International Maritime Law Vice President of the Comité Maritime International (CMI) and a member of the Legal & Liability Committee of the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI).
