ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN advises the SODEXO Group on its Sale of SODEXO’s Education Catering Segment to the CERTINA Group
Following a comprehensive analysis of Sodexo’s business portfolio in the German market, the global catering and facility management company has decided to focus on the Corporate Services, Healthcare and Seniors segments in the future. In Germany, Corporate Services is responsible for a large part of the turnover. Now the CERTINA Group has acquired Sodexo SCS, the main business unit of the Education segment, including some additional elements, including the related client contracts, employees and infrastructure.
The Sodexo Group is a French food services and facilities management company listed on the Paris stock exchange. With approx. 420,00 employees and revenues of 19,3 billion Euros (FY20), the Sodexo Group serves approx. 100 million consumers every day in 64 countries. Sodexo serves many sectors, including private corporations, government agencies, schools from preschool through university, hospitals and clinics, assisted-living facilities, Airport lounges and sports facilities.
The CERTINA Group is a family-run industrial holding company based in Munich and Grünwald. The company has more than 25 years of investment experience and operational expertise in a wide variety of industries. The CERTINA Group is a long-term investor which develops companies sustainably.
