PHARMACEUTICAL VACCINE LOGISTICS

BioNTech / Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna are among the first pharmaceutical companies which will supply vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the European market. On 16 November the German national government and the federal states issued a “National Vaccination Strategy for Covid-19” which stipulates that the vaccines should be offered in central vaccine centres. The first 27 centres are due to be ready to operate in December. However, the Federal Health Ministry expects vaccination to begin at the earliest at the end of the year.
