Dr. Sebastian Jungermann moves to ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN from Arnold & Porter

The well-known antitrust lawyer Dr. Sebastian Jungermann is joining ASD on 1 February 2021 to strengthen our antitrust law Practice Group as an equity partner in our office in Frankfurt.

Jungermann advises national and international business companies and private persons in complex antitrust cases, merger control proceedings, transactions and legal disputes in antitrust and company law, in compliance matters and in US-related cases.

He began his career with Linklaters in 2000, and in 2002 he moved to the newly opened Frankfurt office of Kaye Scholer. In 2004 he worked at the Kaye Scholer head office in New York and was appointed as a partner in 2009. In 2017 Arnold & Porter and Kaye Scholer merged.

On 31 March of this year the US law firm will close its German branch in Frankfurt.

Dr. Wolfgang Scholl, the manager of ASD, comments: “Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Moritz Lorenz the antitrust law practice of ASD has grown strongly, and we are pleased that with Dr. Jungermann we have gained a partner who will move us forward even more with his many years of experience and his outstanding network.”

Jungermann spoke about his move: “I am looking forward a lot to my new working situation. There I will meet many familiar and new colleagues and high calibre experts in my areas of expertise, especially antitrust law and company law. ASD is a first rate and dynamic law firm with an international client portfolio. On this basis I will be able to develop my business activities very well.”

Recently Jungermann had advised clients such as the Safran Group in its plane engine joint venture with Boeing, AstraZeneca on delivery contracts with Covid-19 vaccines, Aryzta in antitrust compensation proceedings against flour manufacturers, the truck manufacturer ZF TRW in international antitrust proceedings, the Sodexo Group and Mitsui OSK Lines.

The antitrust practice group of ASD will in future consist of 9 lawyers in the locations Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich. Their consulting services cover all relevant areas of German and EU antitrust law.
