ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN accepts three lawyers into partnership and appoints four new salary partners

Frankfurt / Munich / Hamburg, 22.10.2020 – With effect from 1 January 2021 the international commercial law firm ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN, with about 160 lawyers, notaries and tax consultants, accepts Dr. Carolin Schilling-Schulz from Hamburg and Simon Kopp and Alexander Thiermann from Munich as partners.

Over the last few years all three lawyers have shown a high level of commitment and have contributed to the continuous growth of ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN in Germany.

Dr. Carolin Schilling-Schulz (47) advises businesses in all questions related to insurance law, insurance broker law, court and arbitration proceedings, legal insurance advice for off-shore risks and insurance tax law. She has worked for the law firm in its Hamburg location since 2012.

Simon Kopp (38) has advised clients in the Munich location since 2012 in private construction law and public commercial law, especially in relation to public procurement law and local government economic law.

Alexander Thiermann (35) has also worked in the Munich location since 2014 and is specialised in property transactions, due diligence, commercial landlord and tenant law, leasehold law, land law, hospitality and the Italian desk.

Jan Wunschel, the manager of ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN, comments on the two new Munich equity partners: “After the departure of our construction law partner Dr. Thomas Oswald, who now works in a small boutique and focuses mainly on building law disputes, our law firm is now making a clear statement by strengthening our Real Estate practice group, which consists of about 50 lawyers, and appointing two dynamic young partners with a strong focus on acquisitions. We are pleased to see that even in this difficult time which is overshadowed by the pandemic, our law firm is evidently becoming increasingly attractive for qualified young talent.”

“We are delighted that with Carolin Schilling-Schulz we have now accepted another woman to partnership and at the time significantly strengthened our position as a major market force in the area of insurance law”, adds Marco Remiorz, managing partner in the Hamburg location.

In addition to the three new partners, Christine Kranich (51) from Hamburg (Corporate, Finance, M&A / Transportation, Aviation & Logistics), Anna Gries (34) from Munich (Real Estate), Steffen Maelicke (48) from Hamburg (Maritime Industry / Transportation, Aviation & Logistics) and Jan-Niklaas Brons (41) from Leer (Maritime Industry) have been appointed as salary partners with effect from 1 January 2021.
