ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN appoints lawyers Jan-Niklaas Brons and Oliver Behrendt as partners
Hamburg / Leer, 26 January 2023 —The commercial law firm ARNECKE SIBETH DABELSTEIN has admitted Jan-Niklaas Brons from Hamburg / Leer and Oliver Behrendt from Hamburg to the partnership with effect from 1 January 2023. Both lawyers have contributed to ASD’s continuous growth in recent years with great commitment.
Jan-Niklaas-Brons joined ASD in 2016 and specialises in maritime commercial law. He has many years of experience advising shipping companies, the shipbuilding industry and maritime service providers. He has many years of experience in handling maritime accidents, especially ship collisions, salvage and arrest proceedings.
Brons also advises on commercial law issues, particularly in the area of contract drafting and international commercial and goods traffic. He works at ASD’s northern offices in Hamburg and Leer. Previously, he worked for an international law firm in Hamburg and as a P&I Club correspondent.
Oliver Behrendt has been advising clients in all areas of maritime commercial law from the Hamburg office since joining ASD in 2021. He focuses on advising shipyards, suppliers to the maritime industry and shipping companies.
Behrendt has a broad range of experience. From 2017 to 2021 he was general counsel and authorised signatory at the MV Werften Group and from 2018 to 2022 Managing Director of a hotel with approximately 100 rooms and 26 employees in Wismar. Prior to that, he was a lawyer at Dabelstein & Passehl from 2012 to 2016.
