- Legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle with stations at the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Hamburg (aviation law department) and at ASD in Hamburg and Leer
- Law studies at the University of Hamburg with main focus on maritime law and at the University of East Anglia, Norwich
